Künstlerin Joana Vasconcelos und Galerist Christian Scheffel erste Loth-Skulpturenpreisträger.

Seit mittlerweile elf Jahren werden auf der art KARLSRUHE (22. bis 25. Februar) der gleichnamige Preis verliehen sowie der Hans Platschek Preis für Kunst und Schrift. Premiere feiert in diesem Jahr der erstmals ausgelobte Loth-Skulpturenpreis – gesponsert von der L-Bank – der den besten Skulpturenplatz der art KARLSRUHE auszeichnet.

La prison de Nîmes est en effet l’une des plus surpeuplées de France. En 2017, quatre de ses détenus ont attaqué en justice l’État français pour mise en danger d’autrui à cause des conditions de détention déplorables de la maison d’arrêt. Cependant, les juges se sont déclarés « incompétents » devant le caractère unique de cette affaire. On peut alors regarder en arrière et se rendre compte que l’histoire des prisons en France et à l’étranger fait état d’une lutte permanente, et que les problématiques – excepté dans certains pays – s’accentuent, en défaveur des prisonniers évidemment.
